Pearl Shankle, 86, of Kalkaska, formerly of Oxford, passed away May 9, 2009, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center - LTC. She was born Sep 18, 1922, in Manchester, CT, to the late Charles and Hattie (Wyro) Lee.
Pearl married the late Ellis Rudy Shankle on Nov 22, 1942. Together they raised four children. Pearl was a wonderful mother and enjoyed keeping a spotless home.
She loved shopping and spending time in the garden. Most of all, Pearl was devoted to her family and loved spending time with them. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Pearl is survived by her dear children, Dennis Dale (Linda) Shankle of Quinwood, WV, Gary Allen (Victoria) Shankle of East Jordan, Gerald Lee (Diane) Shankle of Kalkaska, and Kristy Gale (Russell) Volz of Newman Lake, WA; eight cherished grandchildren, and precious great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her dear husband.
