Pauline “Lucille” Brown, age 95, of Battle Creek, died Thursday April 6, 2017 at the Calhoun County Medical Care Facility. Lucille was born January 4, 1922 to Otto and May (Jones) Lanning in Mesick , Michigan and came to Battle Creek in 1946. Lucille was a “Rosie the Riveter” at a factory in Grand Rapids during WWII, she later became a great Mother, homemaker and foster parent. Lucille was a great dog lover and cherished her dogs over the years and enjoyed square dancing and watching food channels. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Brown of Spring Hill , FL, her sons, Patrick (Judy) Brown and Dennis (Soila) Brown , both of Battle Creek, Five grandchildren and Three great grandchildren , a sister, Jeraline (Stanley) Macey of Battle Creek. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Brown, her parents, brothers, Louis and Ralph Lanning. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday April 13th, at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, 223 N. Bedford Rd.
