Paul “Bill” Brazie, age 86, of Lapeer, died Sun, Feb 1, 2015. Bill was born Dec 13, 1928 in Lapeer to Paul and Hazel (Phillips) Brazie. He graduated in 1947 from Lapeer High School and married Mary Stacy on Feb 26, 1949 at Immaculate Conception Church in Lapeer. Mr. Brazie started working for the Lapper Coop just out of high school, and then worked over 25 years at Lapeer State Home, where he did many jobs, but he especially enjoyed patient care. Bill was an avid fisherman, hunter, softball player and all around outdoorsman.
Mr. Brazie is survived by his daughter: Mary Jo Lhamon of Traverse City; grandchildren: Tim (Nadea) Lhamon, Peter (Casey) Lhamon, and Katie (Bill) Swisher; great-grandchildren: Ember, Addisin, Espn, Easton, Isaac, Evan, Tristan, Adrienne; brother: Phillip Brazie of Lapeer; several nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his wife: Mary; grandson: Zander Lhamon; sister: Phyllis deLong; sister in law: Doris Brazie and his parents: Paul and Hazel Brazie.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 pm Tue, Feb 3, 2015 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. Funeral Mass for Mr. Brazie will be 10am Wed, Feb 4, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Church in Lapeer, Father Raymond Arwady officiating. Burial will follow in Stiles Cemetery in Lapeer.
