Paul Fergus Barker died unexpectedly Monday morning in Centralia at the age of sixty-five. Mr. Barker was born in Central City, Colorado, June 10, 1894. He lived in Colorado until he came to Washington more than forty years ago. He lived in Olympia since he came to this state. His home was at 315 Union Avenue East. Mr. Barker worked for the Post Office here for the last thirty years. He was a veteran of World War One. He attended the Assembly of God Church, and was a member of the American Legion. Surviving relatives include a son, Oren Barker, Bellevue; four daughters, Mrs. Helen Goodyear and Mrs. Joan Conway, both of Olympia, Mrs. Ruth Moseley, Hilo, Hawaii, and Mrs. Ramona Griffin, Winthrop; two brothers, Philip Barker, Escondido, California, and Ralph Barker, Belgian Congo, Africa; a sister, Miss Florence Barker, Flagstaff, Arizona, and eight grandchildren. The funeral service will be held in Selene and Eros Mortuary this Wednesday morning starting at eleven o’clock. The Reverend Dave Carlson, minister of the Assembly of God Church will officiate. Burial will take place in Olympic Memorial Gardens.
