Patricia J O'Keefe, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away Fri, Sep 15, 2006, at Covenant Medical Center Cooper following a lengthy battle with cancer at age 68.
The daughter of Christina (Jane) Petty Johnson and the late Lloyd Johnson, Pat was born Apr 4, 1938, in South Boardman. She graduated from Kalkaska High School in 1956. Patricia married William O'Keefe, her loving husband of nearly 45 years on Nov 25, 1961. He survives her.
Pat was employed as a bookkeeper for Simon Bros for several years. Pat was a member of the Red Hat Society.
She had volunteered with the Saginaw County Commission on Aging. Pat loved spending time wit her grandchildren. She enjoyed flea markets and bargain hunting.
Pat also enjoyed collecting angels, crocheting, and most of all sharing her gifts with others.
Surviving besides her husband, Bill, are one daughter, two sons and their spouses: Colleen and Brian Makl of Rhodes, Kelly and Jackie O'Keefe of Saginaw, and Corey and Crystal O'Keefe of Midland; 11 grandchildren with another grandchild on the way, Elizabeth, Brian Jr, Andrew, Mallory, Rebecca (Becca), Nicole, Zachary, Aspen, Evan, Brenna, and Cali; one sister and one brother, Norma and Herb Helbig, Modesto, CA, and Gary and Peg Johnson, Logansport, IN; several nieces and nephews; as well as many dear friends, including Shelby Yingling.
Pat was preceded in death by an infant brother, and by one other brother and sister in law, Larry and Leonette Johnson.
Funeral service was held Sep 19 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N Center Rd, Saginaw. The Rev. Father David Parsch officiated with burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
