Mrs. Orpha Franklin, 81, formerly of Omard, died Apr 29, in the Northland Geriatric Center after a seven month illness.
She was born Jun 13, 1884, to the late Issac and Phoebe Clark.
She was married to Harry Franklin September 24, 1910. They lived at Omard on a farm until moving to Southfield in 1943 where they have lived ever since.
Surviving Mrs. Franklin are her husband; one son and two daughtes, Mr. Harry Franklin Jr., Mrs. Mae Rausch, both of Southfield and Mrs. Ruth Merucci of Detroit and the late Clarence Franklin and Mrs. Marion Cornell. Sixteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Services were held May 2, at the Ted C. Sullivan Funeral Chapel. Burial was at Acacia Park Cemetery in Beverly Hills, MI.
