Orin M. Kittle, 62, of Hope died unexpectedly early morning, Jun 16, 1997, at the Mid-Michigan Regional Medical Center, Midland.
He was born Sep 8, 1934, in Belleville, son of the late Ray and Martha (Specaloski) Kittle. He attended schools in the Thumb area and graduated from Kalkaska High School. He had worked at Dow Chemical Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1986.
He married Carrie E. Lund on May 11, 1954, in fife Lake. He had served with the U.S. Army from 1954-56. He was a member of the Hope United Methodist Church, the Hope Volunteer Fire Department and had been active in the Boy Scouts and Little League Program. Orin had done volunteer work at Pinecrest.
He is survived by his wife Carrie; sons Dallas (Elizabeth) Kittle, Jay Kittle and Brian (Kari) Kittle all of Jacksonville, FL; daughters Rita Berbrich and Sally (Graig) McGraw, all of Midland; sister Pauline Kittle of Midland; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Linda Kittle; son in law, Douglas Berbrich and sister Marion Dafoe.
Funeral services were held Jun 19, 1997, from the Hope United Methodist Church with Dr. Harold J Slator, pastor, officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery.
