Oma P. Tice, 81, of Mancelona died Feb 12, 1992 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Mrs. Tice had been a resident of Mancelona since 1989.
She was raised in Kalkaska, and moved to Traverse City in 1975 and then to Mancelona.
She was a graduate of Ferris State University with an associate's degree, and she had been employed as a case worker with the Department of Social Services in Kalkaska.
She had been a member for many years at the Calvary Baptist Church in Kalkaska and was the missionary president for 25 years.
At the time of her death she was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Traverse City, and she served as missionary treasurer for many years. She had held Bible studies in Kalkaska.
Mrs. Tice made many afghans that she donated to churches for missionaries to distribute throughout the world. She enjoyed crocheting, loved music, and enjoyed search a word puzzles.
On Nov 17, 1910 in Kalkaska she was born to Arthur S. and Nettie (Carroll) Fudge.
She was united in marriage to Earl E. Tice on Feb 14, 1936 in Cadillac, and he died on Nov 21, 1972.
Also preceding her in death were five brothers, Harold, Paul, Loyal, Clyde, and Walter Fudge.
She is survived by two daughters, Belinda Plachy of Darien, IL and Mrs. Ronald (Pauline) Allen of Mancelona; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Edith Grisham of Meade, KS and Joyce Redrup of Jenison; and two sisters in law, Leeta Fudge of Kalkaska and Genevieve Fudge of Traverse City.
Funeral services were held on Sat, Feb 15, at Calvary Baptist Church in Kalkaska with Pastors Jerry Bauman and Peter Nieuwkoop officiating. Burial will be in Lodi Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
