Olive (Robinson) Nichols Priddle, of Cadillac, died early Tuesday morning Feb 21, 2012, at her home. She was 90.
She was born on Jan 2, 1922, in Traverse City, to Russell and Evelyn (Palmer) Robinson. In 1941, she married Carroll Nick Nichols, and he preceded her in death in 1989. She later married Albert Larry Priddle on Oct 31, 1992, and he preceded her in death on Mar 4, 2004.
She graduated from Cadillac High School in 1941 and had been employed at Ace Hardware in Cadillac for several years in the toy and engraving department. Olive enjoyed walking, swimming, fishing, water skiing, snow skiing aquatic exercising and was an avid bowler for many years. She was a former member of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her children, Carol (Ron) Barker of West Branch, and Louis Nick Nichols and Julie Allen of Cadillac; three grandsons, Gary (Char) Saunders, Andy Saunders, and Ronald Baker Jr; a granddaughter, Chris (Rick) Bookheimer; three step-daughters, Valerie, Annmarie, and Marri; three step grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two brothers, Karl Robinson of AZ, and Charles Bud (Jean) Robinson of Cadillac; four sisters, Rosemond Niles of Cadillac, Helen Gould of Millington, Kathryn Hamilton of AZ, and Pat (Bill) Arlt of Cadillac; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Mark Nichols; a brother, Warren Robinson; and a sister, Rozella Frederickson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Fri, Feb 24, 2012, at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac, with Pastor Ron Nicholas officiating. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac. Friends may meet the family from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
