Olive Elizabeth Stoops, 90, passed to her heavenly home Nov 24, 2004 at Meadow Brook in Bellaire.
Olive was born on Feb 23, 1914, in Pellston, to Charles and Carrie Pack.
She is survived by brothers, Raymond Peck and Donald Peck; and her sister, Ellen Blanshan. Her twin brother, Oliver Peck, and sister, Lillian Lareva, preceded her in death.
Olive married Claude Joy Stoops, a Great Lakes seaman on Jul 25, 1945, in South Boardman. He preceded her in death on Oct 27, 1978.
Olive was the mother to four sons, Perry Clark, Charles Clark, Ronald Stoops, and David Stoops; and daughter Marilyn Stoops McCool, who survive. She was blessed with 20 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
A homemaker, known for her unwavering faith and longtime commitment to supporting mission work around the world, she leaves a Christian heritage to her generational family. She loved the beauty in all of God's nature and expressed it in poetry and artistic sketches.
Services were held on Nov 29 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska, with the Rev. David L McCool officiating. The celebration and committal service was at Evergreen Cemetery, also in Kalkaska.
