Norman J. Fitzgerald, 76, of Kalkaska, passed away on Tues., Nov. 5. 2002, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He was born Sept. 25, 1926 in Detroit, the son of Earl and Frances Fitzgerald.
Norman served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He married Barbara Hill on Jan. 16, 1946, in Detroit. She preceded him in death in 1999. Norman retired from Ford Motor as an inspector in 1976, after 30 years of service. Norman and Barbara moved from Plymouth to Kalkaska in 1977. Norman was a member of the Lions Club of Kalkaska.
Surviving is his son Steven J. (Tina) Fitzgerald of Kalkaska; grandchildren John, Heidi, Ben and Emily Fitzgerald; brother David (Judy) Fitzgerald of Warren; sister Joanne Lindow of St. Clair Shores and brother-in-law Lawrence (Marilyn) Hill of Clearmont, Fla.
A family graveside service was held Nov. 9 at Excelsior Township Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
