Norman H. Grambau, 71, of Kalkaska, died Mon morning, Jun 28, 1993, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Mr. Grambau was employed as a shovel operator at U.S. steel's calcite plant in Rogers City prior to his retirement in 1983. He moved to Kalkaska in 1987. Mr. Grambau was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Good Sam Travel Club. He enjoyed woodworking.
Born in Metz, MI on Mar 31, 1922, he was the son of Henry and Lena Ludwig Grambau. On Jun 23, 1972, he was married to Goldie Hathaway in Kalkaska. she survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Bryant and Lee Grambau both of Rogers City; four daughters, Robin Godfrey of Traverse City, Sue Wilson of Rogers City, Marilyn Hathaway of Hillman and Julie Thornburg of Manistee Lake; one brother, Harold Grambau of Alpena; one sister, Mabel Baldwin of Millington; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Minnie Fleming, one brother, Erwin Grambau, and his step mother, Emma Grambau.
Funeral services were held Wed, Jun 30, 1993, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Ted Turanski, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church, officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
