Norma Jean Sparks, age 81, passed away on Mon, Jan 6, 2020 at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center. Norma was born on Jan 22, 1938 to the late John and Thelma (Satterly) Rohde in Kalkaska.
Norma married George F. Sparks Sr. on Sep 6, 1966 in Paris Township. They were married for 42 years. He preceded her in death on Jun 3, 2008.
Norma loved to go camping, put puzzles together adn crochet. She especially loved to spend time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Georgia (Michael) HOman, George (Melissa) Sparks Jr; four grandchildren, Travis M Homan, Cady (Timothy) Tobias, Ashley (Ty) Hunter and Erika (Damontae) Skorzewski; two great grandchildren, Lyra Skorzewski, Easton Tobias; and one great grandson on the way.
Norma was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby Brown and Ronald Brown; two brothers, Charles Rohde and Ronald Rohde.
A celebration of life will be held at a graveside service in the spring.
Cremation arrangements were provided by Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home.
