Nora Buike Ebeling, 87, of Imlay City, died Apr 21, 2000 at Lapeer Regional Hospital.
She was born Jan 10, 1913, in Elba Township. She married Frank Buike on Aug 17, 1938, he died on Jan 16, 1976. She then married William Ebeling on Mar 4, 1989.
She was a homemaker for most of her life. She had been a country school teacher for eight years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Alter Society, New Era Club, Imlay City Historical Society, and Lamb-Steele Seniors. She enjoyed playing bridge and shuffleboard.
She is survived by her husband, William “Bill”, Imlay City; daughter, Mary Kay (Donald) Wood, Stanton, CA; sister, Mary (Devere) Lynk, Davison; step children, Barbara (Lester) Knust, Almont and Wilma (Gordon) Smith, Davison; step grandson, David Knust; and three step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Buike, and sister, Florence Schlaud.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Extension Society, Sacred Heart, or Huntington’s Society.
Funeral services were Tue, Apr 25, 2000 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Imlay City. The Rev Ezequiel Mondragon and the Ref John F Dunn officiated. Burial was in Mt Calvary Cemetery, Imlay City.
