Mrs. Nellie Mae George, 53, formerly of 517 S. Pine St, Lansing, died Tuesday morning at a St. Johns nursing home. She was born in Shiawassee County and was graduated from the Morrice Public Schools. She had been a Lansing resident since 1953 until going to the nursing home. Surviving are three sons, Raymond Adair of Lansing, Donald Adair of Elsie, and Edwin George of St. Johns; four daughters, Miss Lillian George of Mount Pleasant, Mrs. Eunice Tiedt of St. Johns, and Mrs. JoAnn Lautt of Lansing, Mrs. Beverly Hasford of Lansing; 13 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Irene McCoy of New York; six brothers, Franklin and Arthur Ferman , both of Owosso, Clarence Ferman of East Lansing, Lawrence Ferman of Pontiac, Irvin of Mount Morris, and Lester of Charlotte. Funeral services will be at the Osgood Funeral Home, St. Johns at 1:30 pm Thursday. Burial will be in the Alton Cemetery, Shiawassee County.
