Mrs. W. Campbell laid to rest Aug. 27. Mrs. Wayne Campbell, age 57, of Garfield township, passed away Sunday night at her farm home.
Nellie Stampfler was born Aug. 25, 1894 in Kalkaska County, the daughter of Edward and Nellie Stampfler. On March 3, 1917, she was united in marriage to Wayne Campbell and to this union three children were born.-Surviving besides her husband, Wayne, are two sons, William A. and Edward D. Campbell of Fife Lake; one daughter, Mrs. Cecilia Jeanette Doft of Lansing; one brother, Frank Stampfler of Fife Lake, two sisters, Mrs. Emogene Fralick of Fife Lake, and Mrs. Charice Hicks of Manton; three grandchildren and many other relatives and a host of friends.- Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday from the Methodist Church in Fife Lake with Rev. Frye of Manton officiating. Burial was made in the Fife Lake Cemetery.- Leader and Kalkaskian, August 28, 1952
