Neil Maxwell Kimball, 96, of Rapid City passed away on Jan 9, 2004, in Traverse City.
He was born on Mar 16, 1907, in Muir, the son of Victor and Elizabeth (Shutt) Kimball.
Neil married Margaret Stander on Jun 18, 1927, in Detroit. During WWII, Neil worked on battleship construction as an electrician in Detroit. Margaret and Neil moved to Rapid City in 1948, with their son, John, from Detroit. He retired from Super Tool of Elk Rapids in 1973. Neil was also self-employed as an electrician for many years.
Surviving Neil is his beloved family; daughter in law, Mary F Kimball of Rapid City; grandchildren, Yvonne K (Phillip, Jr) Nault of Traverse City, David J Kimball of Traverse City, Daniel J (Grace) Kimball of Rapid City, John Kimball, Bryan Kimball and William Kimball; and 10 great grandchildren.
Neil was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, on Apr 22, 1978; and son, John David Kimball, on Jan 15, 2002.
A graveside service will be announced and held in the spring at the Clearwater Township Cemetery.
