Naomi D Frye, 87, passed away on Wed, Dec 13, 2006, at Kalkaska Memorial Hospital, LTC.
Born on Jun 1, 1919, in Whitewater Twp, Kalkaska County, she was the daughter of the late Noah and Velma (Gee) McLain.
Naomi married Vernon Frye in Jun of 1942 in Mancelona. She graduated from Kalkaska High School and County Normal where she got her teaching certificate. Naomi taught school at Tyler Country School. A lifelong resident of Kalkaska, Naomi enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with her family. She was also a member of Kalkaska Church of Christ.
Surviving Mrs. Frye is her daughter, Verna D (James "Bill") Stephens of Kalkaska; her grandchildren, Todd M (Kim) Stephens, Darci A (Michael) Fitch of Kalkaska; her great grandchildren Morgan and Alaina Fitch and Mackenzie and Alison Luck; her sister, Audrey (Norm) Anderson of Kalkaska.
Preceding Mrs. Frye in death was her husband Vernon;and her brother, Robert McLain.
The funeral service was conducted Sat, Dec 16, at the Kalkaska Church of Christ with Dan Johnson, David Babcock, and Jeff Badgero officiating. Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home.
