Mrs. Nancy E. Nichols, 61, of Mancelona, died Mon, May 17, 1999, at the home of her son Kenneth.
Mrs. Nichols resided in South Carolina until 11 months ago when she returned to Kalkaska County. She was a licensed practical nurse and had been employed by Kalkaska Memorial Health Center, Meadow Brook Medical, and Grayling Mercy Hospital. She was affiliated with St. Paul's Lutheran Church and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Born in Columbus, GA on Dec 29, 1937, she is the daughter of Jay and Maude East Miller.
On Aug 17, 1956, in Columbus, GA, she married Earl Nichols who preceded her in death on Feb 7, 1998.
Surviving are sons Lance (Robin) Nichols and Kenneth (Kathy) Nichols, both of Mancelona; daughter Teresa Whitby of Indianapolis, IN; brothers Jay Miller of Florida and Louis Miller of Texas; sisters Edith Jones and Dorothy White, both of Columbus, GA; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were May 22 at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Rev. Ted Turanski officiated. Burial was in Coldsprings Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
