Mrs. Myrna L. Spencer, 73, of Fife Lake, died Mar 18, 1998, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mrs. Spencer spent her early years in Kalkaska County, and then moved to Ypsilanti. She returned to Kalkaska County in 1984. She served in the Women's Army Corps during WWII, and was a member of American legion Post 282 in Ypsilanti.
She was born in Kalkaska County on Sep 21, 1924, to Bert and Marguerite Anker Miller. On Oct 20, 1951, in Ypsilanti, she married John Spencer, who survives.
Also surviving are brothers Newton Miller of South Boardman and Elton Miller of Traverse City; sisters Joan Clous of Kingsley and Lorene Sieffert of Kalkaska, and several nieces and nephews.
Sons Newton John and Walter Arnold Spencer and sisters Mea Thomson and Edna Crane preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Mar 28 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Paul Karges officiated.
Cremation followed funeral services with inurnment in Garfield Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
