Morton D Chappelle, 58, died suddenly at his home on Wed, Aug 20, 2003.
Mort was born Oct 9, 1944, in Flint where he had lived most of his life, living the past 14 years in the Fife Lake area. He was united in marriage to his wife Madonna G (LaFuze) Chappelle on Aug 15, 1987, in Florida.
Morton loved deer hunting and sports, especially following the Lions, Tigers, and the University of Michigan. He loved his family very much and was known to be a jack-of-all-trades.
Morton is survived by his wife, Madonna, of Fife Lake; four children, Eric (Diane) of New Jersey, Wendy (Matt) Hyder of Mt Morris, Marcy (David) Fisher of WI, and Heather LaFuze of Fife Lake; eight grandchildren; five sisters, Violet, Bernice, Joyce, Paula, and Pamela; brothers, Douglas, Duane and Paul; special children Lindsey, Kayla, and Katie Dean.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
A funeral service was held Aug 23, 2003, at the Covell-Smith Funeral Home, Kingsley. The Rev. Eric Chappelle and the Rev. William Kuiper officiated. Burial was in Fife Lake Cemetery, Fife Lake. A visitation was held Aug 23.
