Minnie M Kenel, 89, passed away peacefully on Dec 26, 2003, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center-LTC.
She was born Aug 17, 1914, in Kalkaska, the daughter of Edwin and Celestia (Johnson) Wagenschutz.
Minnie married Albert J Kenel on Sep 16, 1930, in Kalkaska. She was the Blue Lake Township clerk for 50 years. Minnie was an active volunteer for the American Cancer Society for Blue Lake Township.
Minnie was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church.
Surviving Minnie are her children: Mildred Schwab of Kalkaska, Maurice (Donna) Kenel of Marshall, Walter Kenel of Kalkaska, Albert (Harry) Kenel of Kalkaska, Clifford S Kenel (Wanda) of Kalkaska, and Thadd J (Dianne) Kenel of Ocala, FL; 24 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and sisters, Thelma Ball and Dorothy Clark, both of Kalkaska.
Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, Albert in 1986; daughter, Betty Mae Loveland, in 1984; and four brothers and one sister.
The funeral service was held Dec 29 at Wolfe Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given in behalf of Minnie Kenel to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements were made by the Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
