Minnie Lee (Olive) Hawley went to reside with the other Angels in her heavenly home on May 22, 2010. Born Feb. 18, 1920 in Iron City, TN, daughter of the late Ed and Pearl Olive; beloved wife of Warren Hawley; cherished mother of Lynual (Shirley) Dooley of Meridian, MS, Phyllis (Barry) Church of Waterford, MI and Patricia (Tom) Fisher of Waterford, MI; loving grandmother of Greg Wilson, Heidi Persinger, Jim Dooley, Jessica Dooley, Dana Church and Paige Avallone; devoted "other" mother to Melvin (Alaina) Hawley, Barry (Della) Hawley, Robert (Linda) Hawley, David (Ilene) Hawley, June (Ed) McGinnis and the late Eric Hawley; dear sister of Eloise Graves of Nashville, TN and Hugh (Bea) Olive of Oxford, MI.
Minnie will be remembered for her grace and the generosity of spirit that saw only the goodness in everyone. She was devoted to her family and has left an enduring legacy of love with every life she touched. Minnie was the personification of a true Christian lady.
Per Minnie's wishes, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice and perhaps remember her with a "random act of kindness".
Funeral services will be held today, May 27, at 1 pm at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral home, 106 S. Cherry Street, Kalkaska, MI with Reverend Howard Seaver officiating. Burial will be at Boardman Township Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12 pm until time of the service. Arrangements were made by Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home, our family serving yours.
