Mildred J. Kniss, 82, of South Boardman, passed away Oct. 20. 2002. at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center Long Term Care. She was born March 27. 1920. in South Boardman. daughter of C. Dewey and Irene (Sieting) Ely.
Mildred married Gordon Kniss on Aug. 27. 1938. She was a lifelong resident of South Boardman. Mildred was a member of the East Boardman United Methodist Church She loved her family dearly.
Mildred is survived by her children Gordon E. (Pat) Kniss of Grand Marais, Gary L. (Diane) Kniss of South Boardman and Gregg A. Kniss of Traverse City; sister Elizabeth (Ivan) Jenkins of Kalkaska; 12 grandchildren; 28 great- grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Gordon in 2001. and daughter Sondra G. Beaver in 1984.
Funeral services were held Oct. 23 at Wolfe Funeral Home. The Rev. Mark McCool officiated Interment was at Clearwater Township Cemetery.
