Mildred "Millie" Frydel, passed away on Apr 1, 2002, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. She was born on May 12, 1922, in Kalkaska County, the daughter of William and Anna (Drake) Fryhover.
Millie married Edward C Kleehammer in South Boardman on Aug 4, 1940. He preceded her in death on Oct 27, 1973. She later married Thomas Frydel on Oct 4, 1975. He preceded her in death on Jun 14, 1992.
Millie was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church, and a member of Daughters of Union Society. Millie loved gardening, especially growing flowers, animals, fishing, and camping. She also loved her very dear pet poodle, Ashley.
Millie was also preceded in death by her very dear friend Leo D Lannon of Chesterfield Township on Apr 18, 1996, and her son Edward D Kleehammer on Nov 6, 2000.
Millie is survived by her family, including her beloved daughter in law and friend, Carolyn Kleehammer of Fife Lake; her children, Willard E Kleehammer Sr. of AL; daughter, Helen Hall of South Boardman; step children, Carole (William) Barrett of West Liberty, OH; Barbara Campbell of New Baltimore; and James (Kathy) Frydel of Linwood, ME; sisters, Maxine (Gerald) McCullen of Midland; and Wilma (Dale) Wells of Kalkaska; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Apr 5 at St Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. Ted Turanski officiating. Interment was at Lodi Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in behalf of Millie to St Paul Lutheran Church.
