Mildred C. Guy, 91, a resident of Rapid City for the past 75 years, died Mon, Jun 3, 1991 at Tendercare of Traverse City.
Mrs. Guy was a homemaker and worked for several years at the Rapid City Post Office and at the W.P.A. as a seamstress. She was a member of the Chain O'Lakes Baptist Church and taught Sunday School at the Rapid City Church of Christ for 35 years. She was also a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Rapid City, and enjoyed her family and bowling.
Born on Jul 3, 1899 in Adams County, IN, she was the daughter of Samuel and Harriett (Plank) Kinsey. On Jul 3, 1914 she married Samuel E. Guy in Covington, KY. He preceded her in death in 1948.
Surviving are six sons, Robert Guy, Jack Guy, Charles K Guy, and Earl Guy all of Rapid City, Richard Guy of Cape Coral, FL and Maurice Guy of Kalkaska; three daughters, Evelyn Guy and Mary Jane Clifton, both of Rapid City, and Joan Hubbell of Portsmouth, VA; two brothers, Roy Kinsey of Clare and Laurel Kinsey of Ark.; 27 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren, and 25 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Betty Zick and Harriett Stoddard.
Funeral services were held Thu, Jun 6, 1991 at the Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska. Pastor George Warnock officiated.
Burial was in Clearwater Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
