Melody Ann Campbell, 37, of Ponca City, OK, formerly of Kalkaska, died Wed, Feb 16, 2000, at home.
A Ponca City school system employee until her recent illness, she was born Jan 23, 1963, in Midwest City, OK, the daughter of Richard and Patricia Boyd Argyle.
She moved with her family to Kalkaska at an early age, and was a 1981 graduate of Kalkaska High School. On Jul 11, 1981, she was married to Ron Allen Campbell in Burns Flat, OK.
The couple and their four children moved to Ponca City in January 1988, where she worked as a bus driver for Ponca City Schools. She was active in her church and in the Awana program, and was involved in gardening and in her children's education.
Survivors include her husband Ron; sons Ronny and Lucas Campbell, and daughters Melissa and Rachel Campbell, all at home; father Richard Argyle of Coyle, OK; mother Patricia Argyle of Kalkaska; brothers Jeffrey (Robin) Argyle and Jimmy (Rhonda) Argyle, both of Kalkaska; sisters Valerie (Danny) Tracey of Kalkaska, Jennifer (John) Koscheski of Colorado Springs, CO, Pamela (Shane) Hoffman of Arlington, TX, and Cindy Argyle of Kalkaska; 20 nieces and nephews; and one great niece.
Funeral services were Feb 22 at Calvary Baptist Church; Pastor David McCool officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
