Melbourne A. Aldrich, 92, of Farmington Hills, formerly of Pontiac, died Fri, Mar 24, 2006.
He attended the Michigan School for the Deaf and he was a former member of the Flint, Owosso, and TriCities Association of the Deaf. Melbourne retired from Pontiac Motors.
He was predeceased by his late wives, Ruth and Thelma.
He is survived by his son, Donald (Jill) Aldrich of White Lake; stepdaughters, Beatrice Jolly of MO, Bonnie Bonacci of Port Huron, Vida (Michael Chatila) of Dearborn Heights, and Rose (J. Karl Gruetzner) Bonacci of Farmington Hills; sisters, Peggy Pendrock of Harrison Twp., Betty Blanchard of St. Clair, and Patsy (Eldon) Haynes of Port Huron; he is also survived by 11 grandchildren, especially Elizabeth Chatila, and Rachel, Jillian and Karlee Gruetzner; and 9 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his companion of five years, Bluebonnett.
He is preceded in death by five brothers, Kenneth, Ray, Don, Charles, and Jack Aldrich; and sisters, Geraldine Taylor and Eunice Pendrock.
A funeral service will be at 11am Mon at Thayer Rock Funeral Home, 33603 Grand River Ave., downtown Farmington.
Visitation will be 2-9pm Sun.
