Mrs. George Havens a resident of Itasca County for 40 years, died Mon at the Itasca Memorial Hospital.
Born Apr 21, 1890 in Afton, IA, she was 64 years old. She grew to womanhood and attended the schools at Afton. In 1906, her marriage took place at Van Buren, IN. The family resided at Oblong, IL before moving to Warba in 1914 where they homesteaded and later made their home at Wabana for 12 years. Mrs. Havens was a member of the Wabana Mothers Club and Farm Bureau.
Surviving are her husband, George; five sons, Paul of Warba, Donald and Beryl of St. Paul; Merel and Royal of Albion, IL; two brothers, John Blair of Afton and Blythe Blair of Creston, IA; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Beard of Afton, and Mrs. Fay Phillips of Chicago; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thu afternoon at the Libbey Funeral Home Rev. James A. McNeilly conducted the rites and interment was in Itasca Cemetery.
