May Elizabeth Schermerhorn, 98, of Mesick, died Thu, Jan 23, 2020 at Glen Eagle in Traverse City. She was born May 10, 1921, in Wallin the daughter of John and Ethel (Fransicso) Webber.
May was a member of the Grant United Methodist Church as well as the American Legion Auxiliary in Copemish and the VFW Auxiliary in Apache Junction, AZ.
May was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved to dance, crochet, and sew. She was a homemaker; she also farmed with her husband and worked as a nurse aide.
She loved her winters spent in Arizona and cherished her friends made at Zimms Park. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
May is survived by her daughter, Deanna Gokey of Copemish; three grandchildren; numerous great grand children, great great grand children, and great great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
May was preceded in death by: her first husband, Millard R Hall in 1988; her second husband, Glen R Schermerhorn in 2001, her son, Dean Millard Hall; her siblings, Leora Trumbell, John Webber, and Kenneth Webber; and her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Tue, Jan 28, 2020 at the Terwilliger Funeral Home in Kaleva. Visitation will take place from noon until time of services at the funeral home.
