Maxine L. Williams, 91, of Kalkaska, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center-L.T.C. She was born on July 3, 1917 in Manton to the late Charles and Ivah Elnora (Kimball) Lanning.
Maxine enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She enjoyed rabbit hunting, gardening, and being out in the great outdoors.
Maxine had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Maxine is survived by her devoted son Stan (Ruth Anne) Snyder of Kalkaska; her loving grandchildren, David (Deborah) Snyder of Kalkaska, Lorie (Steve) Stacy of Fife Lake, Fern Snyder of FL, Amy (John) Lantzer of Kalkaska, and Charles Snyder of Kalkaska; 11 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding Maxine in death were her first husband of 32 years, Stanley A. Snyder; her second husband of 37 years Orris E. Williams; and her son Harold M. Snyder.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Wolfe-O’Neill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Linda Bridson of the Community of Christ officiating. Burial will be at Clark Cemetery in Springfield Township in the spring.
