Mattie, 85, died at 9:40pm at Mennonite Memorial Home.
She was the daughter to John and Lillie (Smith) Fricks. On June 29, 1946 she married Willard W. Van Atta, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, Bill (Joyce) and Mark (Cinda), both of Ada; three daughters, Deryl (Norm) Fleming and Susan Hatton, both of Ada, and Alice (Bill) Beaman, Kenton; and eighteen grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren, and a great great grandson.
Deceased are three brothers, J.C., Ray, and Bill; and three sisters, Savilla Moon, Sara Pifer, and Dorothy Stokes.
A homemaker, she was a member of Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 185 Auxiliary and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9381 Auxiliary, all Ada. She was an avid bowler. She loved her family and will be greatly missed.
Services will be at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, with Pastor Jonathan Hanover, officiating.
