Dr. Matthew A. Beebe, 40, formerly of Grosse Ile, died Mon, Mar 21, 1994, at his home in Clarksville, TN, of pancreatic cancer.
Dr. Beebe was Associate Professor of Geology at Austin Peay State University. He graduated from Grosse Ile High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste Marie, and his M.S. degree from New Mexico State University. He was awarded his Ph.D. with honors from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS.
Dr. Beebe is survived by his wife Marianne Fritz Beebe; two sons, Gus and Willem of Clarksville, his parents Albert and Audrey Beebe of Grosse Ile, his sister Anne Buchanan of Trenton and a grandfather, Robert E. Beebe of Kalkaska.
A memorial service will be held at Hidden Valley, Gaylord, at 2 pm on Sat, May 21.
