Mary Lee Butts-Horn was born in Columbus, OH on Jan 25, 1923.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of 47 years, Edwin J Butts, with whom she had four children who survive her. Also preceding her in death were her siblings: Richard (Marion), Robert (Natalie) and John J (Lucy) Fenstermaker, Violete (Hayes) Herschler and Virginia (Clyde) Simmons.
She is survived by her loving children – Thomas (Cathy) and William (Beth Ann) Butts, and Jane (Steven) Mess, and Diane (Steven) Krakoff. Also surviving are her five wonderful grandchildren: Elizabeth, David (Marianne) and Joseph (Nicole) Mess, and Kathryn and Sarah Krakoff, two great grandchildren Charlotte and Maxwell Mess, and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving her is a very dear sister, Nancy Ruth Fenstermaker of Nashville, TN.
Mary Lee graduated from Worthington High School and attended Ohio State for 3 ½ years. She was a secretary in a Catholic School and also kept books for several priests, including Father John Bryne of St Michael’s Church, where her family were charter members. Also worked many years at and retired form Long’s Book Store on OSU Campus. At the age of 80, she married a second time, Raymond A Horn who preceded her in death. Viewing hours will be Tue, Apr 11th from 4 to 7 pm at the Ruhterford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 North High St., Worthington, OH. A Funeral Mass will be said for her at Our Lady of Peace Church, 20 E. Dominion Blvd, Columbus, OH 43214 on Wed, Apr 12, 2017 at 10 am with interment at St Joseph Cemetery.
