Mary J (Drake) (Howard) Massey, 63, of Saginaw, died Sun, Mar 12, 1995, at Hurley Medical Center.
Mrs. Massey was born in Shiawassee County, the daughter of George and Myrtle (Grose) Howard and she had lived in the Shiawassee County and Morrice areas most of her life. She had been a housewife, Girl Scout leader, a member of the Rebekah Lodge, very involved in crafts and loved traveling abroad. She also had a great interest in working on election boards.
Surviving are children, Linda and James Harmon of Durand, Leon and Susan Drake of Flint Twp, Howard and Cheryl Drake of Traverse City, Valerie and Jack Diener of Boyne City; 13 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers, John Howard of Sparta and Wayne Howard of Farwell.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Marilyn Bates; sister, Sharon Irish; and husband William Massey.
Funeral services were held Mar 15 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, Swartz Creek. Burial was in Union Plains Cemetery.
