Mary Grace Taylor, 65, a former employee of Essex Wire Company, died Thu at Grand Traverse Medical Care Facility.
She has lived in Traverse City area all of her life and was a member of St Francis Catholic Church. She worked at Essex Wire for 11 years, retiring in 1978.
Born in Hannah on Aug 25, 1921, she was the daughter of Edward and Rose (Hiebel) Weber. On Jun 20, 1936, in Traverse City, she married Francis “Pete” Taylor, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Daniel M Taylor of Traverse City, Robert E Taylor of FL and Larry F Taylor of TX; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Phyllis) Gertz of Traverse City and Mrs. David (Carol Ketner of Maryland; two brothers, Michael and Bill Weber, both of Traverse City; two sisters, Caroline Largent of Traverse City and Lenora Johnson of Grawn; 17 grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Rose Walters and Cleota Pelkey; and a brother, Fred Weber.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Mon at St Francis Catholic Church. The Ref. Raymond Cotter will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Gove Cemetery, Grawn.
A scripture service will be held at 7:30 pm Sun at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, where friends may call today from 7 to 9 pm and Sun from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm.
