Mrs. Mary Murray Claimed By Death
Jackson Township Woman Dies At Sanatorium; Rites To Be Wednesday
Mrs. Mary Etta Murray, 61, of Jackson township, a lifelong resident of Wells county, died at 12:20 a.m. Sunday at Irene Byron hospital, north of Fort Wayne, where she had been a patient since May 10. She had been in ill health for the past three years.
The decedent was born April 15, 1880 in Liberty township to Frank and Frances Stotlar Tarr and was married Jan. 26, 1900 to Alex Murray, who survives. The family home is near McNatts. She was a member of the Union Chapel church at McNatts.
Surviving besides the husband are a son, J. Edward Murray, of Swayzee; four brothers, Bryan, John, Peter, and Daniel Tarr, all near Liberty Center; and two sisters, Mrs. Florence Swanson, near Liberty Center, and Mrs. Luther Wilson, of McNatts. A daughter is deceased.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Union Chapel church with Rev. J. M. Baker, of Fowlerton, and Rev. A. L. Wooten officiating. Burial will be in the Mossburg cemetery.
