Former Crofoot Teacher Expires
Mrs. Mary E. Murphy is taken by Death Friday Night
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Murphy, 43 years old, died Friday night at her home at 31 North Johnson avenue after an illness of two weeks. Heart disease was the cause of her death. She was the wife of Leroy H. Murphy and a daughter of William Van Wagoner, both surviving. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and one of the January-March group of the Women's Union there. She came to Pontiac from Kingston and had previously been a teacher in the fourth grade at the Crofoot School.
Two children survive her, Rex and Helen, a sister and brother also survive - Mrs. John M. Burmeister and Glen Van Wagoner of Kingston.
The body is at Farmer's Funeral parlor where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday with Rev. William H. Marbach officiating. Burial is to be at Kingston.
