Mary Elizabeth Brazie, 81, a lifetime resident died on Saturday, February 13, 2010. She was born on December 27, 1928 in Lapeer, MI to Thomas J. and Helen J. (Sanford) Stacy. She married Paul “Bill” Brazie on February 26, 1949 at Immaculate Conception Church in Lapeer.
Mary graduated from Lapeer High School, Class of 1947. She worked at Gwinns Hardware, Gertiser Motor Sales and also State Mutual Insurance. Mary was a lifetime member of Immaculate Conception Church.
She is survived by her husband, Paul “Bill” Brazie of Lapeer; daughter, Mary Jo Lhamon of Traverse City; 3 grandchildren, Tim (Nadea) Lhamon, Peter (Casey) Lhamon and Katie (Bill) Swisher; 7 great-grandchildren, Ember, Addison, Espn, Isaac, Evan, Tristan and Adrienne; sister, Rita (Tom) Birchmeier of Flint; brother-in-law, Eugene King of Byron and her sister-in-law, Esther Stacy of Lapeer. Mary is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Helen Stacy; brothers, Francis Stacy and Lawrence Stacy; sisters, Catherine King and Barbara Ann Stacy and her beloved grandson, Zander Lhamon.
Memorial Contributions may be made as Masses.
Funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Immaculate Conception Church, Lapeer. Father Douglas Terrien and Deacon Jerry DeShaw officiated. Burial took place in Stiles Cemetery.
