Mrs. Mary E. Woodhams, 41, of 1759 Dean Drive, Kalkaska died Sat evening, Mar 20, 1976, at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, following a short illness.
Mrs. Woodhams was born to Gordon and Gretchen Niehardt Aldridge, on Nov 14, 1934, in South Boardman, MI. On Apr 30, 1955, she was married to Martin Woodhams in South Boardman.
A lifelong resident of the South Boardman and Kalkaska area, Mrs. Woodhams was a member of the East Boardman Methodist Church. She and her husband operated Martin’s Sales and Service in Kalkaska and Gaylord.
Surviving are her husband, Martin; one son, Michael Woodhams at home; three daughters, Mrs. Larry (Marcia) Smires of Gaylord, Michelle Woodhams, and Mona Woodhams both at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Aldridge, of South Boardman; one brother, David Aldridge of Kalkaska; one sister, Mrs. E.A. (Nancy) Schneider of Webster, MN; one granddaughter, Sherry Smires of Gaylord; and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Maude Niehardt of Kalkaska.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Wed, Mar 24, 1976, at the Schwartz-Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska. The Reverends Arthur and Molly Turner, pastors of East Boardman Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
