Martin D. Norkowski, passed away on Sun, Apr 27, 2008, surrounded by his family. Born on Apr 15, 1932, in Detroit, he was the son of the late Martin and Evaline Norkowski.
Martin was a veteran of the Korean War serving our country in the US Army. He married Barbara Moore in Walled Lake. Martin was a resident of Kalkaska since 1969, moving from Detroit. Reading was a favorite pastime and Martin always wanted to be doing something. On his day off he would visit family and enjoy his grandchildren.
Surviving Martin is his children, Tomothy (Linda) Norkowski of Interlochen, Dawn Jackson of Traverse City, and Andrea Norkowski of Kalkaska; five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Martin was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; his parents; and his sisters, Mary, Caroline, and Sue.
Visitation was Mon, Apr 28, and Tue, Apr 29. The funeral will be on Wed, Apr 30 at 2pm at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Kalkaska.
