Mrs. Martha J. Carroll, 84, of Kalkaska, died Sun, Aug 1, 1993, at her residence.
Mrs. Carroll spent her early years in the Kalkaska area, and then moved to Flint where she made her home until returning to Kalkaska in 1946. She was a retired music teacher, and enjoyed music, crocheting, woodworking, and other crafts.
Mrs. Carroll was born in Kalkaska on May 3, 1909, daughter of the late Wesley and Mae Root Cross. She was married to William H. Edwards in Flint in 1927. He died in 1951. In 1953, she married Martin Wilder who preceded her in death in 1969. On Oct 31, 1976, in Kalkaska, she was married to Victor Carroll who preceded her in death on Dec 1, 1985.
Surviving are one son, Robert W. Edwards of Kalkaska; two sisters, Evelyn Bedker of Washington and June Veal of Owosso; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
One brother, Bud, and two sisters, Mable and Grace, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thu, Aug 5, 1993, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Leroy Dimon will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 am until service time on Thursday.
