Mrs. Martha Snyder, 77, of Fife Lake, died Friday afternoon, January 3, 1969 at Grand Traverse Medical Care Facility following a long illness.
She was born September 2, 1891 in Fife Lake, the daughter of Luther and Elizabeth Aldridge. She was married to Henry C. Snyder September 30, 1909 in Fife Lake. Mrs. Snyder was a member of the Fife Lake Rebekah Lodge and attended Fife Lake Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Chris (Vernice) Peterson of Sydney and Mrs. Thelma Hanna of Cedar Springs; two sons, Luther of Fife Lake and Wilbur of Traverse City; 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1957, one son, Stanley and a daughter Gladyce.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 6, 1969 at 2 pm at the Fife Lake Methodist Church with Rev. Gerald Hedlund officiating. Burial was in Springfield Township Cemetery.
