Marshall J McKee, 87, a lifelong resident of Kalkaska, died Sun, Jun 27, 1999, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Born in Raber on Dec 29, 1911, Marshall is the son of John and Edna Marshall McKee. He was married to Ethel Jacobson Oct 22, 1971, in Kalkaska.
Marshal served as Kalkaska County deputy treasurer from 1935 until 1943 when he was appointed Register of Deeds. He held this position until his retirement in 1975. He was a member of The Peoples Church, and enjoyed sports and fishing.
Surviving are wife Ethel; stepson Bernard (Hilda) Jacobson of South Boardman; stepdaughters Peggy (Donald) Bellinger of Kalkaska and Nancy (Ron) Johnson of DeWitt; brother Bob Gates of Charlotte; 11 stepgrandchildren; 22 step great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Sisters Helen and Mary preceded him in death.
Funeral services were Jun 30 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Rev. Paul Karges officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
