Marlene Elaine Stubblefield was born on Sept 1, 1937 in Stanton, MI, the daughter of the late Mortimer and Neurldean (Miller) McKillop, and passed away on Jun 19, 2015 at the age of 77.
Marlene was a real estate agent for 50 years in the Lansing area and a member of the “Million Dollar Club”. She was the second woman in Michigan to receive a builder’s license. She loved going to the cottage Up North, Blue Grass Festivals, camping and traveling all over the U.S. She was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary. She also enjoyed the Red Hat Society.
Marlene was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Joe Stubblefield, Sr; great-grandaughter, Gracie; parents; mother and father-in-law; and sister and brother-in-law.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her three sons, Joe (Therese) Stubblefield, Jr., Rick (Linda) Stubblefield, and Phillip (Caryn) Stubblefield; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one on the way; brother, Mortimer (Nancy) McKillop.
A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Tue, Jun 23, 2015 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. The family will receive friends from 3-7pm on Mon, Jun 22, 2015 and one hour prior to the service on Tue at the funeral home.
