Marla J Hosler, 46, of Kalkaska, died Fri, May 18, 2001, at her residence.
Mrs. Hosler moved to Michigan from Louisiana in 1998, and has resided in Kalkaska for the past year. She was a Girl Scout Leader and she enjoyed gardening, reading, crocheting and traveling.
Mrs. Hosler was born in Tacoma, WA on Nov 23, 1954, to Thomas and Marlene Kennedy Frye. She married Robert Hosler in Rapid City on Sep 18, 1999. He survives.
Also surviving are sons Dale Lofton of Keithville, LA and Steven Lofton of Detroit; daughter Betty Jo Lofton of Doyleen, LA; her mother Marlene Frye of Umbarger, TX; brothers Terry Frye of TX and Tracy Frye of Pueblo, CO; sisters, Carla Woodhull of Amherst, NH and Maria Burch of Vallego, CA; brothers in law, Glen Hosler and Richard Hosler of Rapid City, Jack Hosler of Bellaire, Clifford Kite of Kalkaska, and Kevin Kite of Farmington, MN; sisters in law, Jeni Follo of Cape Coral, FL, Julie Ferguson of Mancelona, and Karen Vance of Alden; and three grandchildren.
Her first husband Dale Lofton, preceded her in death.
Memorial services were May 23 at Alden United Methodist Church.
Arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
