Mark B Elandt, 37, of Kalkaska passed away on Sun, May 21, 2006, at the Munson Medical Center in Traverse City after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on Nov 24, 1968 in Gaylord, he was the son of Bernard and Diana (Thompson) Elandt.
Mark graduated from Kalkaska High School in 1987 and attended Northwestern Michigan College for two years. He was an avid snomobile rider, NASCAR fan, and enjoyed the "great outdoors." Mark enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Surviving Mark are his parents, Bernard (Jean) Eland of Kalkaska and Diana F (Chris) Simmons of Delcambre, LA; siblings, Stacey (Michael) Wilkinson of Williamsburg and Steven M (Anissa Bittner) Elandt of Bellaire; step sisters, Christy (Todd) Rosinski and Kelly Mitchell, all of Traverse City, and Gloria Simmons of Louisiana; step brother, Josh (Keisha) Simmons of Louisiana; and nieces, Ashley Lunsford, Andrea Shull, Erica and Jenna Wilkinson; and nephew, Clay Lunsford.
Visitation was scheduled for Tue, May 23, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home in Kalkaska. The funeral service will be on Wed, May 24, at 2 pm, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Stark of the Kalkaska United Methodist Church officiating.
Additional visitation will be on Wed from noon until the time of the service. The burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
