Marjorie E Scramlin, 62, of Lapeer died Sep 11, 1988, at St Joseph Hospital, Flint.
She was born Mar 1, 1926, to Max and Clara (Stacy) Gibbons. She married Claude E Scramlin Sep 26, 1947.
Marjorie was a graduate of the Lapeer High School, one of among the last classes to graduate from Lapeer County Normal before it closed in 1946. Her teaching career began in the one room Stone School and spanned more than 30 years. She was an active parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church.
She is survived by her husband, Claude; seven children, Jill Arbaugh of Flint, Joyce Bonesteel of Lapeer, Claude Scramlin III of Traverse City, George Scramlin of Lapeer, Jane Papke of Lapeer, John Scramlin of Long Beach, IN, Deborah Schlaud of Lapeer; 15 grandchildren; one sister, Doris (and husband, William) Brown of Lapeer; one brother, Robert (and wife, Leona) Gibbons of Lapeer; many other relatives and friends.
Services were held this morning (Wednesday) at the Immaculate Conception Church. The Rev. Father Doc Ortman and Richard Schmidberger officiated. Burial was in Mt Loretto Cemetery.
