Marita Jean Farabaugh, 70, of Kalkaska, passed away on Sat, Nov 15, 2003, at her home.
She was born on Mar 26, 1933, in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of John and Irene (Eckenrode) Springer.
Marita married Clair R Farabaugh on Sep 29, 1956, in Carrolltown, PA. They have been residents of Kalkaska since 1971. Marita was a member of St Mary of the Woods Catholic Church for 32 years. She enjoyed yeard sales and gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and collected angels. Marita put others first before her own needs.
Surviving is Clair, her husband of 47 years; her children, Rupert H Farabaugh of Cornelius, NC, William C (Robin R) Farabaugh of Kalkaska, Cathy A. (Norman E.) Poppy of Bowling Green, KY, Lisa J (Jeff) Hartzell of Kalkaska, and Jeffrey A Farabaugh of Kalkaska; 11 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister, Mary (Francis) Hoover of Patton, PA, and brothers, Cecil Springer of Ebenshurg, PA and Gerald Springer of Patton, PA.
Marita was preceded in death by two grandsons, Christopher and Jason Farabaugh in 1991.
The Mass of Christian Burial was Nov 18 at St Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. Interment was in Lodi Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in behalf of Marita to the Leukemia Foundation.
