Marion Guy, 90, of Rapid City passed away Aug 25, 2004, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
She was born Apr 16, 1914, in Rapid City, the daughter of Malphie and Cora (Simmons) Barber. On Jun 19, 1932, in Grayling, She married Lester Guy, who preceded her in death in 1975.
A homemaker, Marion lived most of her life in Rapid City where she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, flower gardening, quilt making, crocheting, and companionship with her dogs. The past 15 months she made her home at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center Long Term Care where the home-like atmosphere and caring staff made her stay there an enjoyable experience.
Marion is survived by her children, Gerald (Rozann Cudworth) Guy of Rapid City, Nadean (Fred) Elliott of Ada, Sandra (Tracy) Mariage of Williamsburg, Rodney (Vanessa) Guy of Rapid City, and Kristy Guy of St Petersburg, FL; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester, her daughter and son in law, Gay and Roger Mann, and her brother, Harley Dean Barber.
Huse Johnson of the Rapid City Church of Christ officiated at the services held Sat, Aug 28, at the funeral home. Burial was in the Clearwater Township Cemetery in Rapid City.
Arrangements were made by the Wolfe Funeral Home of Kalkaska.
